Oregon DEQ Public Meetings:

Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has posted a draft outline for use of the Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Funds on their VW Diesel Settlement webpage<http://www.oregon.gov/deq/aq/programs/Pages/VW-Diesel-Settlement.aspx>, and has opened a period for public comment on the elements of the proposed plan.  This current proposed plan reserves approximately $18 million to replace older diesel school buses as a step to meet the goal of reducing risk to vulnerable populations, specifically children.

Once Oregon is accepted as a Beneficiary by the Trustee, the state will have 90 days to submit a proposed plan to the Trustee.  DEQ anticipates another round of public review for the proposed plan at that time.

DEQ has two public meetings scheduled for the current draft on April 26, 2017 at 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm.

Ontario Workshop Update:

The Ontario Workshop has been rescheduled and the date has been confirmed. Stop Arm Violation Reports:

We plan on sending out training reports in the second week of May.  All training submitted by May 5, will be included in these reports.
