Hi! Several of you participated in the virtual storytime chair last year. This is an opportunity to talk with your colleagues at other Oregon libraries about storytimes—share something you do well, ask questions to trouble shoot a problem you’re having, and get lots of ideas to revitalize your storytime. Thanks for your patience! Registration for the next Virtual Storytime Share is open. It will be held on Thursday, February 25 from 2:00-3:00 PM. Our theme is music!

There are two sessions, one for text-only chat and one for video/audio chat. GoToMeeting information for the session you select will be e-mailed to you after you register.
FYI we'll be having Virtual Storytime Shares from 2:00-3:00 PM on the last Thursday of the month in March, April, and May 2016 as well. Mark your calendars!

Many small, rural libraries are not getting useful information about professional development opportunities and resources that is being shared on other listservs. Therefore I’ve decide to forward items that are relevant to improving early literacy for 0-6 year olds and summer reading for 0-14 year olds on the Ready to Read grant listserv. . I will be very selective about what I share on this list to ensure they all relate to the purposes of the Ready to Read grant and so you aren't overwhelmed with too many emails.
