AHRQ’s Effective Health Care Program offers free resources to help patients
and clinicians promote shared decision making by bridging comparative
effectiveness research with practical treatment choices. This session is
meant to introduce the myriad free resources available through the
Effective Health Care Program, how the tools are developed and the ways in
which to use them when considering treatment options for a variety of
health conditions and educating patients.
*Objectives:*
- Gain awareness of the Effective Health Care Program
- Understand the variety of tools available through the program
- Learn practical ways to leverage the resources to promote improved
outcomes
- Be encouraged to contribute to future research through the public
input process
- Have an opportunity to ask general or specific questions about the
program
