We are not. This concept is on the radar however and I would be interested in the results of this meeting.

Subject: [yscon] Family Engagement & Department of Ed collaborations

Any State Libraries collaborating with their Department of Education on Family Engagement? How do you approach them to include libraries?

The Michigan Dept. of Ed has begun a task force to develop “Family Engagement Framework,” for ages prek-20, and I’m heading to my first meeting today. I’ve got the Ideabook: Libraries for Families and the Public Libraries: A Vital Space for Family Engagement publications, but am curious if any of you are working on this in your states?

Thanks,

Cathy Lancaster
