  *   Funding Status.  The application window for FY 2012 will open January 9 and close March 20, 2012.  Wave 29 for FY 2011 and Wave 81 for FY 2010 will be released this week.
  *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  Continued problems with the SLD computer system should serve as a warning for late-filing applicants.  Useful E-rate training materials from 2011 are available online.
  *   Schools and Libraries Special News Brief dated January 6.  The SLD latest News Brief provides a few very basic tips for coping with the FY 2012 application filing window.
