  *   Funding Status.  The application window for FY 2012 opened January 9 and close March 20, 2012.  Wave 30 for FY 2011 and Wave 82 for FY 2010 will be released this week.
  *   Updated Trade-In Guidance.  Under the FCC's new equipment disposal rules, trade-ins are not permitted until after equipment has been installed for five years.
  *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  Atlanta Public Schools, long the "black hole" poster child has received partial funding for FY 2010.  The non-recurring invoicing deadline for FY 2010 is January 30th.  The SLD's DRT has a new look and feel.  Three new FCC appeal orders affected 54 applicants.
  *   Schools and Libraries Special News Brief dated January 13.  The SLD latest News Brief reminds applicants of the key competitive bidding rules.
