OregonASK<https://oregonask.org/> is offering another free coding training for children's public librarians and elementary school librarians on February 18, 2017, in Wilsonville. If you choose to participate, you will be trained to use a coding curriculum for children in K-5th grade that was created by Code.org<https://code.org/>. The curriculum is designed so you can present a series of activities that build on one another. However, you may use the curriculum to present one-off activities too-whatever works best for you and your library. I attended this training last November, participating school library and public library staff told my they thought the curriculum would be useful and that they liked the training.

Read the attached flyer for details and register online<https://studio.code.org/pd/workshops/1004/enroll>.

Please bring your own laptop or tablet.

Food and beverages will not be provided because this is a free training. You may bring your own beverages, snacks, and lunch or you may go to a nearby restaurant. There will be an hour for lunch so plan accordingly.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Katie
