Supplies LC Subject Headings and call numbers; verifies all types of access points in catalog records and edits to conform to authorized forms and creates original authority records. Provides training and timely feedback to supervisees and conducts annual performance appraisals. Provides leadership to catalogers performing cataloging for resources in languages that do not use the Latin script, such as Slavic languages, Hebrew and Arabic. Coordinates matters of cataloging policy and practice for non-Latin cataloging in all formats. Represents the Library in policy discussions and deliberations related to non-Latin script cataloging at the regional and national level. Maintains policies on non-Latin script cataloging. Develops local workflow procedures as appropriate. Contributes to the advancement of the Libraries' mission through service on local and national committees, and continuing professional development, including, but not limited to, conference attendance, presentations and publications.
