Could you see if there is any information regarding Bennett family who lived at Goshen in Lane County. They came to the area in 1854 and lived there until at least 1910 or later. Thanks.

Okay, I am being such a wise guy, we'll see if I can figure out how to do it in Outlook express, I have to send this in html format which list Mom had said wasn't allowed but which any number of folks have been using on a regular basis.

When she get back from vacation she is probably going to be very cross with us.

By the way my sister-in-law laid a copy of two Cottage Grove Sentinel publications on me yesterday, if anyone thinks there might be info of intereste to them I would be glad to check. I know someone on the list mentioned in the past having a ancestor that was in the Bohemia Mining District in the early days and that is the main reason I mention this;

Bohemia Gold: Bohemia Mining District
Lane County, Oregon
The Bonanza Years
1885 - 1910
by Ivan C. Hoyer

Golden Was the Past
1850 - 1970
Cottage Grove Oregon

 The Writers Discussion Group

As I understand it both of these are sold out, they only published limited runs. This is about the fourth edition of Golden with the past though so if folks are interested they can badger the Cottage Grove Sentinel and maybe inspire them to publish more.
