[or-roots] Pioneer Families

My gg-grandfather, David Diggins, pioneered Oregon.  Battle Mountain (first 
homestead), Umatilla Co I think.  He sold that place to his son Thomas Diggins 
and then he built another homestead in Joseph.  I cant find my records on him. 
 There wasnt a Pioneer Cert on him.  My greataunt said that had a park 
dedicated to the pioneers and there was a step with his name on it.  Not sure where 
that was.  The family is buried in Milton-Freewater and Walla Walla.  So I am 
wondering if the park is around there?  Hoping that it could have a date that 
he came to OR.
