I am sorry to hear that people are leaving this most interesting channel. I
remember a quote (can't recall the author) who said that everyone had a
responsibility to their ancestors.  However, the author said,
"responsibility for seeking knowledge about genealogy, places of birth and
where one came from was a burden easily shifted to the shoulders of God,
Fate, Fortune, Luck or one's neighbor.  In the days of astrology it was
customary to unload responsibility upon a star."

 

As a resident of Texas, I truly enjoy reading every one of the emails that
travels this connection.  Keep up the good work.  Poppy

need to follow directions further down the page, as far as I know it is the

only way to get yourself off this list, it was called to my attention by a

In order to unsubscribe you need to go to;

 

http://sosinet.sos.state.or.us/mailman/listinfo/or-roots

 

at the bottom you will see an "edit options" box where you enter your email

and will be asked for password etc on the next page.

 

If you have done all of this and are still getting email, or having done

this is why we are seeing your "unsubscribe" email on the list, right under

the "edit options" box is a link to Contact Layne with your problem, if you

have to do so please be patient with her, she is a very busy person.
