Denise;

I thought I knew Harry but couldn't find anything online like what I "knew."

Did find some interesting Kenyon stuff, don't know if it's your line;

from; http://www.hal-pc.org/~wmewrght/index.html#genes

This fellow has a book that includes some fairly exhaustive Kenyon research
apparently;

My book, Ancestors and Descendants of William Browning Greene and Mary
Hoxsie Lewis with Allied Families, includes 42 chapters. Each chapter is
devoted to an immigrant and some of his descendants. The families all lived
in Rhode Island and inter-married at one time or another. Rhode Island was
also the home of General Nathanael Greene and Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry.
The book contains an extensive genealogy of the PERRYs and a large number of
descendants of the CROSS, GREENE, KENYON, LEWIS, and SEGAR families. Other
families in the book include BABCOCK, BROWNING, HAZARD, HOXSIE, and RATHBUN.
There is even a chapter devoted to the family of Matthew BOOMER.

http://www.hal-pc.org/~wmewrght/kenyon.html is a link to a piece of his
Kenyon work that is online.

IF you want to go to a library to read this book he has a list of places
that have it here;
http://www.hal-pc.org/~wmewrght/library.html

Salem State and Oregon Gen in Springfield only two in Oregon.

Very interesting individual, he is also a Model Railroading fan which got my
attention, also has a 250 page commentary on King James Bible available for
free {genealogy book available on CD for $19.50}

Oh and the reason Cross is in the subject line is there are some folks with
considerable connection to that surname and while "Boomer" Bill has 228
families of Kenyons in his work, he has 467 families of Crosses.

Okay, I finally found the people I was thinking of, no Harold, it was
Orvall, ah well.

Les C.

Subject: [or-roots] Oregon Periodical Index Online?

Years back I believe there was an online Periodical index to the Oregon
Newspapers. I can not locate where that is now online. Does anyone else
know? I'm wanting to learn if there were descendants of the following
couple who I've learned died in Portland and I wanted to see if their
obituaries were online since I live in Idaho.

Harry R. Kenyon, b. 17 Dec 1901 at NY, d. 20 Jan 1979 at Portland, Multnomah
County, OR
+Averil M. Cast, b. 1902 at MO, d. 22 Apr 1966 at Portland, Multnomah
County, OR

Averil is a third cousin I'm trying to learn more about.
