Bonjour,

Thanks for offering to help. I don't want to take up your valuable time
with the microfilm..I know how difficult it is to read
old newspapers (I have done lots in my search for information on the
Oregon Trail migration of 1851, the topic of my 18 year
long research project.)

But, in your perusing, if you come across any mention of 1851 Trail
pioneers (especially any BLANCHARD or NOLAND folks)
I sure would appreciate a photocopy of what you locate.. am interested
in ANY mention. I have found in 1851 microfilmed newspapers
That I have searched, there were sometimes mentions of folks who had
arrived in the previous year.that's why I suspect that
there might be something on 1851 pioneers in the 1852 paper.

Please, as I said, don't tie up your time ..just, if you do notice
anything on BLANCHARD (my wife's ancestors) or NOLAND (the Trail
Captain of their particular 1851 train) or any other 1851 stuff, click
the print button for me. Of course, I'll pick up the cost for any
copies
and the postage.

If you haven't checked out Stephenie Flora's prize-winning web site on
the Oregon Trail, you should. She has a fantastic collection of info
and you might even find info on your McCubbins folks.

Your humble servant &c., &c.,

Albert
