Hi Les,
I am new to the list, and I must admit that I am a bit overwhelmed
at the number of messages that come through - BUT - I have
learned so much about Oregon in the past four days that it is now
my #1 read.
I am confused about aliquot parts, and would appreciate help to
find just where this land actually is. The patentees were James and
Ellen Casey. There were 3 aliquot parts, all in Township 5-S, Range
1-W, Willamette Meridian, Marion County.
Aliquot 3 was in Sec./Block 5. The remark listed was Lot 3 of S Half of
SW
Aliquots 1 and 2 were in Sec./Block 6. The remarks for Aliquot l was
Lot 1 or SESE Quarter. The remarks for Aliquot 2 was Lot 2 or
SWSE Quarter.
I also have a question. Is there a website that lists the names of the
various
townships? Example: What township is 5-S?
Thanks, Les, for your generous offer of help. It is appreciated.
