Lincoln County to Receive Boating Facility Grant
Lincoln County will receive a financial boost through a grant awarded
to the Port of Toledo for a new transient tie-up boating facility on
Depot Slough. The Oregon State Marine Board recently approved over $3.2
million in boating facility grants, statewide.
The Port of Toledo applied for, and was awarded a grant to fund
construction of a brand new transient tie-up facility, complete with
boat docks, gangway, pumpout/dump station, and dredging. This is an
ideal location for boaters and anglers alike, with access to Yaquina Bay
and the Oregon coast. The Board approved $110,000 in state boater
funds, which will be combined with $380,000 federal Boating
Infrastructure Grant funds and $60,000 in federal Clean Vessel Act
funds, $43,700 of applicant cash and $7,000 of in-kind contributions
plus an additional $124,000 cash matching funds for a project total of
$725,000.
