City of Coquille Receives Boating Facility Grant
The City of Coquille was awarded a boating facility grant from the Marine Board at their quarterly meeting in Salem on April 28.
The City of Coquille applied for, and received, a grant to remove and reconstruct the existing asphalt parking area at Sturdivant Park on the Coquille River and to improve the circulation/access road and sidewalk, including the curbing, striping and new signs. The Board approved $218,500 in state boater funds combined with $11,500 of applicant cash and $25,000 of in-kind contributions for a project total of $255,000.
