[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

OSPS will be implementing the new federal tax withholding tables for
March Run 1 for payday April 1, 2009.  A link to the new tables is below
this message.   You can use these tables to compare to current
withholdings in order to get a sense of the amount of change employees
will see in their April 1 paychecks.   The monthly tables begin on page
23.

Effective with February Run 1 payroll for payday February 27, 2009 we
have also implemented a change related to the FICA tax charged on
pre-tax parking.   We have reconfigured the parking codes to not
withhold FICA tax on the wages that employees designate for their
pre-tax parking amounts.   Employees will see a few dollars additional
in their net pay total.  In March, we will be synching up that tax for
2009 year-to-date.  We will have additional information very soon.
