A question has come up about employees who are eligible to receive a
$30/$40 insurance subsidy, and whether the subsidy continues if the
employee is in leave without pay, on protected leave, and qualifies for
insurance. 

 

The answer is yes, as long as the employee continues to pay his or her
share of their insurance premium payments and surcharges, the $30/$40
continues to be paid toward the employee's insurance premium. 

 

Please forward this information to your Human Resource and Payroll
Staff.
