OSPS E-News ~ 2012 W-2 Online Format Change

[Announcements from OSPS to the users of the Oregon State Payroll Application]

Great News!

For tax year 2012 only, the online PDF copy of employees' W-2s has now been formatted to meet the criteria for filing a paper tax return with both the IRS and Oregon Dept. of Revenue!

This means that you will no longer need to request a copy using the OSPS form "W-2 Reprint / Reissued Statement Request".  This applies to tax year 2012 W-2s only.  Tax years 2008-2011 will still need to be requested using the OSPS form.

Remember, for all available tax years, the online PDF copy of the W-2 will satisfy any purpose an employee or third party would need it for besides filing a paper tax return with the IRS.  So, save both you and your employee time and energy by utilizing this great resource.
